Frequently asked questions

Returns & exchanges

What is the return policy?

Unused items can be returned within 30 days of your purchase date. Returned items must be in their original packaging, contain all tags, and have no obvious damage.

If you would like to process a return, please reach out via the Contact Us page. We will arrange a return label which you can print at home, or for free at the post office.

You will receive a replacement, or full refund for your item. You do not need to pay for additional postage.

Can I exchange for a different size?

Yes! If the size isn't right, get in touch and we'll do our best to swap it for the correct size, subject to availability.

If I return my item, does the charity still receive the donation?

If a refund is issued, the charity portion is unfortunately reversed too, as our donations are funded by sales revenue. However, if you exchange for a different size, the donation stands.

Orders and shipping

The item I want is sold out — will it be restocked?

Each design is produced in a strictly limited batch of 200, so once they're gone, they're gone! Follow us on Instagram @nonono.clothing or join our email list to be the first to know about new designs.

What does my production number mean?

Every nonono garment is individually numbered (e.g. 1/200, 2/200). It's your item's unique identity — no two people own the same number. We'll always send you the lowest available number in your size. Your certificate of authenticity records this number permanently.

When will I get my order?

We will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with AusPost tracking information.

Delivery times vary depending on your location. If it is urgent, please reach out so we can ensure to expedite your order!

How much does shipping cost?

We have flat rate shipping of $11.50.

How should I care for my nonono garment?

Machine wash cold with like colours, and tumble dry on low. To protect the embroidery, we recommend turning the garment inside out before washing.

Do you ship internationally?

Please reach out to us at nonono.contact@gmail.com or via our contact form and we'll do our best to help!

Can I track my order?

Yes! You'll receive a tracking link by email once your order has been dispatched.

About the brand

Who designs nonono clothing?

Our toddler does! Every design is inspired by whatever she happens to be obsessed with at the time — bikes, buffalos, you name it. She's consulted on all designs and has final approval on everything we make.

Is nonono a registered non-profit?

No - nonono is currently operated by myself (Carmel) under a sole trader ABN, and we have an agreement with CCCoLab regarding our donations to them.

This is purely because we're new. We'll register as an official non-profit if we're able to actually make some sales 🤣!

Who covers operating expenses?

We don't take salaries or use your money to cover operating costs — we cover those ourselves through our full-time jobs. Every dollar of profit goes directly to charity.

How much of my purchase goes to charity?

We're fully transparent about this. Every product provides a detailed breakdown of the costs required to produce and ship your product, and how much that leaves for your donation.

For the curious, the calculation is:
What you paid - (cost of shirt + cost of packaging + shipping fees + import and taxes).

Where are your products manufactured?

Our products are designed in Australia, and manufactured by a small factory in Dongguan, China.

We want to note that the decision to produce in China was not made lightly. We originally looked into sourcing locally, but we found the costs prohibitively high, which would significantly reduce the potential profits we could forward onto our charity partner.

With this in mind, we explored a number of manufacturing options in a variety of locations, until we found our selected supplier. We settled with them due to the quality of their clothing being significantly higher than anything else we'd seen, and found them to be extremely supportive of our brand and its vision.

What is CCCoLab and what do they do?

CCCoLab (Children's Cancer CoLab) is a research organisation dedicated to finding better treatments for childhood cancers. We chose to support them because we believe there is nothing more unfair than a child facing a terminal illness, and we want to do everything we can to help change that.

Do you use AI for any of your marketing?

Yes and no. Everything we photograph or film is real, as we believe it's extremely important for you to see what you're actually getting. However, we do use AI to modify the faces of the children. We've done this purely to protect the true identities of the kids wearing our clothing.

What sizes do you offer?

We offer sizes from 0–3 months through to 4–5 years. Each product page shows the full size range available for that design.

What materials are your clothes made from?

Our garments are made from thick, high-quality cotton with a small amount of spandex for comfort and stretch. We prioritise quality so your little one can wear them again and again, and then give them over to a friend or sibling.

What types of clothing do you make?

It's a surprise! We'll evolve what we produce based on the season, design, and most importantly - what our toddler is interested in.

How do I verify my certificate of authenticity?

Each nonono garment ships with a uniquely numbered certificate of authenticity that matches the production number on your garment's label. Hold onto it — it's what makes your piece genuinely one of a kind.
